QTW 63 - GPFs with Trident Drivers (1-Aug-95)

Q QuickTime for Windows 2.0.1 seems to conflict with Trident's linear-addressing drivers. I repeatedly get General Protection Faults with all of Trident's video drivers.

A We are aware of some compatibility problems with the Trident 9420 video chipset. The most recent driver reportedly works only in 16-bit mode (64K colors). Until this is resolved, you can try adding the following section to your QTW.INI file:

    [Video] 
    Optimize=Driver

If 'Driver' doesn't work, try 'BMP', 'RAW', and 'DIB'.
